Managing Editor

Geographic Location: Remote


Description: DynaMundo is a vibrant, research-driven, interdisciplinary network of experts with experience in consulting, modeling, and training. We partner with clients to solve complex organizational problems through a unique combination of engineering-based modeling, participatory group facilitation, and capacity development workshops.


The Managing Editor will be responsible for identifying high-quality system dynamics work that has potential to be published under DynaMundo's growing publishing brand. The Managing Editor will be responsible for liaising and negotiating with authors as well as managing the editing process to get works publication-ready. They thrive in starting new ventures and holding lots of responsibility, enjoy building relationships, are driven by results and defined metrics, and are creative in their approach. 



  1. Formal educational and applied experience in System Dynamics; Masters or PhD preferred

  2. Entrepreneurial mindset, willingness to make mistakes and learn from them.

  3. A successful and recent history of published works on System Dynamics related topics

  4. Experience reviewing and editing academic articles, manuscripts, books, or public-facing pieces of work

  5. A keen understanding of the System Dynamics field, where it stands, and a creative belief of where it can go – using that creativity to see the need and imagine the expansion of System Dynamics outside the role of academia. 

  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Fluency in English required

  7. Ability to commit to a flexible yet consistent schedule in order to meet performance goals


Compensation is delivered on both a fixed fee and royalties basis per publication.
