FACILITATED DISCUSSIONS

 

 

Problems and conflicts can happen in every organization. Generally, they tend to arise when organizations are confronted with intricate problems. Those problems occur when people hold entirely different views on whether there is a problem and/or what the problem is. Since different individuals interpret situations differently, this in turn leads to differences in people's "mental models" and differences in opinion about the nature of reality.

 

When confronted with complex problems, we partner with managers and policy to guide them in the decision making process. DynaMundo can help organizations by conducting group model building workshops, in which stakeholders are taken through a series of exercises and facilitated discussions that will help them to understand and solve problems collectively.

 

During these workshops, we use causal loop diagrams to help the stakeholders answer questions about potential causes of phenomena, to answer "why?" questions. In that way, the problem is studied from a systems point of view, in which each stakeholder has the opportunity to contribute to the diagrams by mapping issues and acquiring a more holistic understanding of the problem.
